SEVIERVILLE (WATE) – A Seymour massage parlor owner has been charged with impersonating a licensed professional.
Sevierville Police Department arrested Wentao Wang, 35, Wednesday at Reborn Massage, locate at 923 Dolly Parton Parkway after a state investigator found Wang was operating without a massage license. The reporting officer said an female employee “suddenly forgot how to speak English, which she spoke to the investigator before knowing who he was.”
Wang showed up at the massage parlor, claiming to be the owner, according to officers. He told police that the employee was just someone who cleaned the business, but the officer found food, clothing and a makeshift bed at the premises.
Wang later admitted to operating the business, according to Sevier County Sheriff’s Office. Tennessee Bureau of Investigation was called to investigate.
Note: Sevierville Police Department’s police report stated the name of the massage parlor was Raindrop Salon and Massage. A later report listed the name as Reborn Massage.
