Yes, hire or bring along a Chinese tour guide to show you around the city. It's going to be chaotic at the Beijing Olympics. I was there last year around December and the place was dead in my opinion and it's not a place for mongering period. Most of the people can't speak English. Take as many tours as possible just to kill the fuckin' bordom in this shithole. The weather is colder than shit. I didn't bring enough clothing and no jacket, took the Great Wall Tour and i swear i nearly freeze my nuts off...it was cold!
