Hey all! I was recently talking with a client and she was telling me about an energy method her husband was trained to do called Shen. From all the research I could find, (which was rather limited) it sounds very similar to Reiki. Has anyone been treated with Shen, what was it like, and where do you get training for it? Any info would be great, I'm always up to learning new energy modalities! Thanks!

I realize this is an old post, but...

When i was learning 5 element theory and a smattering of Jin Shin Do, my instructor gave us a gazillion handouts. In one, it defined Shen as "the outward expression of inner spirit/energy." I remember it because I decided it was a perfect name for my next dog.

i search shen therapy online and it's another relabel technique that seems to work with chakras. using placements and passing movements to unblock energy in certain organs of body and chakra. It's like therapeutic touch that releases energy blockage and help energy flow of the energy body. by the way, therapeutic touch came from chi kung. it was just relabel to market to western society. I'm tired off all these rehash materials that takes parts of eastern,indian energy theory and dilute it as well as relabeling it for marketing purpose, aren't you? Just go to the source of tai chi and chi kung and learn it in depth.
