I had to fly from Shanghai to Shenzhen for business, and I found that the cheapest flight is actually from Shanghai to HK.
As low as $30 plus tax on Spring Air
http://tickets.china-sss.com/
There is only a 15 kilo baggage allowance including both check in and carry on..
Not a sex report, I am here on business, but I thought I would offer some travel info. It has been about 4 years since my last visit to Shenzhen.
China Mobile sim cards do not seem to work in HK.
China mobile sim cards are as low as 50 RMB, and you can use your smart phone for internet , etc.
I arrived in HK, and walked to the area marked as offering coach bus service to mainland China. I paid 170 HK$ to ride in a mini bus from HKIA to my hotel in SZ. The bus stops at the border, you get out and walk your luggage through immigration.
Beware of guys trying to divert you to a different bus once you cross into China. If the guy tries to take you over the bridge then he is a scammer
and is not your true bus driver.
My mini bus took me directly to my hotel. The Vienna Hotel on Hongling Road South.
I had booked a standard room, but they upgraded me to a suite since they were full. 196RMB per night. The suite was a little worn and musty, but otherwise ok. Girl friendly, but 99% Chinese clientele, and very little English spoken.
The hotel is near Mixc Mall, not near the Shangrila area, but you can take the number 7 bus for only 2 RMB to the area near Shangrila where all the mamasans and prostitutes hang out.
One interesting thing I found in my walks around SZ are the adult shops, plenty of Cialis and Viagra (probably fake), vibrators, lubes, etc.
The adult shops are marked in English, easy to find.
Probably the most attractive women that I have seen in China so far were at the MixC mall. I walked for hours just shopping and checking out the women.
I was never propositioned, that mostly happens near the Shangrila hotel.
The GPS on my mobile often located me as being a block or two from my true location, be careful.
Had to travel to the SZ airport, there is a direct bus from the LoWu station to the airport for about 20 RMB versus a taxi for about 130.
