Shiatsu Back and Shoulder Massager. Vibrate?

Hi,

Im looking to get a Shiatsu Back and Shoulder Massager but have a choice of one with a vibrate function and one without.

Is it worth spending the extra £73 to get the massager that vibrates as well

That's an interesting one. I am not a Shiatsu therapist, but I do know a few and have read a bit. From what I understand, Shiatsu is about the movement of energy or 'Qi' through the body through the application of both hands, using holding and pressing techniques. The therapist is looking for vibrations that indicate activity or stagnation within the meridian lines... but no vibration is used. I am going to look up Shiatsu massager now, as I can't understand how Shiatsu can be applied by anything other than another person... However, if you are looking for a regular massage machine, perhaps it would be of some benefit depending on your reason for wanting the massager. Oh! I just thought... are you a practitioner looking for a tool for your clients, or is the massager for yourself?
