should conscription have been introduced in Australia during world war one?

hey man u have to do ur own research but because friends ill help.

well the are two ways to look at it yes and no

first yes it should have been because australia was in the war and was threatend by attackes from japan and other countries. therefore we need an army to help fight for our country. because there were not enought people joining the army and it was really needed conscrition was introduced to get more men into the army to fight for freedom.

secondly there is a no to this question... simply because men shouldnt be forced to join the army by force beacuse some were young, studying, and were married with children. Men were forced to join when there ticket was drawn. some rfused to go and burned there ticket but those were jailed.
