Sorry, my searching abilities must be totally lacking today!
I have been through most of the the threads on Hot Stone Massage -- but was specifically looking for someone who said they keep a small crockpot in the clinic room with a limited number of stones to warm up their hands before massaging (great idea!) and also to have a few stones on hand if they want to work some taut areas. I couldn't find that post anywhere! (Frozen brain due to cold weather?)
I do have the whole stone roaster and set-up -- but right now have not found the right place for it in my clinic room (I am expanding it in the future.)
If that lovely someone (or anyone else!) who posted long ago is still there -- can you tell me the temp you use in the crockpot and whether you use water or not? It is freaking cold here right now and I would love to warm up my hands with the stones and have at least a few on hand to use. Also a good way, I hope, to introduce clients to the feel of Hot Stone Massage when I can do full sessions in the future.
TIA for any input!
Sherry
