Stay a few days in patong and wanted to share my, rather green, experiences with massage and bar mongering.
With all the massage parlors I noticed that there are way too many ladies for too few customers at this time. They almost literally try to drag you into their establishment. Typical prices are 250 bht for thai massage for the hour, but I quickly discovered that almost all want to drop it to 200 bht if you ask about it. The quality varies, and almost all do special services.
Some of the experiences were just amazing. All I can say is that I think that thai woman are just different. With many (most?), after some mutual touching there seems to be a certain chemistry that causes things to feel just right, something I hardly ever encounter with western women. The latest massage was just unbelievable, I actually planned for a 2 hour regular massage, since I had my share of specials in the last few days but things quickly got "out of control". She just wanted more and went for a BJ I did not ask for, and then asked me if I had condoms, she just wanted it, no kidding. Contrast that with the usual "dead fish" prostitute mentality in the west.
The bar scene is completely new to me, I never go to bars and I really do not drink apart from the occasional glas of wine or beer. So I headed out to the soi's on Bangla to get a touch of bar and pickup life. Eventually my eye caught a simply stunning dancer in soi tiger. Bad luck, it turned out she does not go with farangs. Eventually I picked another lady, no talk about money and the next morning she asked for 1000 bht, I added 500 bht to that. The bar tried to barfine me but since we went at closing time I argued, in a friendly way, that there ought not to be a barfine since the place was closed, they quickly agreed. The bar scene by itself is more problematic, surely I do not quite know how to play it, could actually use some advice here! Basically the ladies try to get you to the bar to order ladydrinks, some are pretty pushy, so I just try to find out on how to handle that. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind giving a drink at times and I enjoy their company but as I discovered the bill rises pretty fast if you do not keep it under control. Anyways quite fun in looking at all the crazyness that is going on. Also I noticed that most ladies do not get a "date", I suppose now is the quiet time.
