Authorities in Chomutov and Dubi had good ideas to fight against prostitution disorders
In Dubi they are broadcasting shots from cameras monitoring streets where night clubs are located...
Two cameras on the main street are showing shots from not less than 8 night clubs. This could be against the law protecting personal datas wich do not allow broadcasting without agreement of the person seen.
Three Billboards in German language were informing drivers that cameras are monitoring the streets and buying sexual services is forbidden by law (well in the street but not in the night clubs...
).
From the dozens of night clubs in the nineties (about 1500 prostitutes), only 8 clubs are still open in Dubi (from wich 2 are for sale)...
After short time the City administration decided to discontinue the service, fearing the risk of lawsuits.
In Chomutov they are planning to shot pictures of drivers as soon as fall 2008. Pictures will be sent to the address where the car is registrated (accordings to the license plates) with day and time indication
Accordings to the Chief Magistrate of Chomutov, street prostitutes do not care about fines so another attempt to erase prostitution will be tried with driver
