Some info please

Getting real close to my trip to L O S so can one of you lads give me some info ?.I am gonna be tight for time when leaving Thailand and want to try The Eden Club as a finale but how long shud I give myself to get from BKK airport,get to Eden,have my fun ,get back to airport and checking in for my flight out of there to UK ?.Are there any safe left luggage places at BKK airport ?.How many hours are required for check-in on domestic flights in Thailand ?.Am using Thai Airlines for my domestic flights and are they flexible with changing flight times while I am over there ?

You mention domestic flights which you should always allow 1 hour minimum for but i get the impression you want to run out to Eden before catching the flight back to the UK as you mention it as being a finale.

How long from Don Muang to Soi 7/1 Sukhumvit road ? Depends on what day of the week (fridays/saturdays are always gonna be busy as fcuk) you are talking about.
My last tour though on a thursday night the road was pretty clear so it only took 45 mins both ways. this is using the toll road which you have to pay the driver for but it's well worth it.
Yes you can store luggage at the international terminal but if say for example you are killing time in bankok on return from a connecting flight via phuket then there is no need to pick up your suitcase.
I flew back to bangkok from phuket at 11:40am 18/11/04 and my flight back to the UK was 00:35am 19/11/04 the next day - in the airport at phuket it's no problem to check your suitcase onto the next flight - so that you don't see it again until london. Much easier this way than lugging your suitcase around.
You need to bear in mind that for international flights you need to allow 2-3 hours for check in etc..but if you follow what i said about checking the suitase beforehand at phuket - to london then when you get back to Don Muang you can check in at a desk which is for hand luggage passengers only and therefore no queue's unlike the other check in desks. So i checked in with just under 2 hours left before the flight.
There are many thai air offices all over thailand and yes they are flexible enough but if you are there in high season it won't be as easy to pick and choose due to many flights already fully booked unless you are happy to upgrade to business class which is a pretty good option if you have the cash.
I regularly upgrade and find the price usually around 800 baht extra to maybe 1000 baht - this is if you have a economy flight already.
If not then you could be looking at around 2000 baht 1 way business class from phuket to bangkok. But then again you may be lucky and find some flights available with econnomy.
All in all - after landing in bangkok - once you are in the taxi and on your way to Eden you need to allow 1 hour min - 90 mins min for Eden club - I hour min for the return. Min of 2 - 3 hours check in - INT Flight.
You are looking at 6 - 7 hours there possibly

BB is right. The problem with BKK is the traffic, same same London. On a good day 45 mins can do it, but on one night it took me 45 minutes to drive from Nana to the Ambassador. (2 miles max). I would not bet my exit flight on it!

Agreed... Spent 2 hours in traffic going no where. Could have walked it faster...

What time and day will your travelling part of the mission be... Friday afternoon makes it highly risky...

i would allow 3 hours for a return trip to the airport,gives you more time if needed,an hour for check in,90 minutes for the eden pleasure plus probably another hour for unknowns.
