There are few goods or services that can't be purchased on a whim and delivered to your door — car rides, warm cookies and even Chipotle burritos are all available on-demand with the click of an app. And soon, Baltimoreans will be able to summon another creature comfort at the press of a button: massages.
Soothe, an app for on-demand massages, is set to launch in Baltimore on Sept. 1. The service allows customers to book massages at their home, office or hotel between 8 a.m. and midnight with as little as an hour's notice.
The services, provided by certified massage therapists, include Swedish, deep-tissue, sports and pre-natal massages. Fixed prices, which include tips, are set at $99 for a one-hour massage, $139 for 90 minutes or $169 for a two-hour massage, and sessions can be booked individually or for couples.
Established in 2013, Soothe currently operates in 39 cities and is working to expand to 50 cities by the end of the year.
The app is available for both Android and iPhone users, and customers can also book services through Soothe's website or by phone at 800-960-7668.
