So what do you think? I'm a little confused on the getting paid right away part. I'm assuming the clients are paying via Spaboom and not the spa/therapist's cc company.

I belong to another listing service that sells gift certificates. You can not get paid until they are redeemed by the client because of how the gc's are sold. I would imagine that would be what they are referring to.

I really need to get signed up with Spaboom! They seem like a great company to work with!

I have Spaboom's GC service on my site, and while I have not sold any yet, I think that I get the money as soon as the client buys the certificate because they are paying with a credit card processed by the cc service I use.

Maybe someone here who has sold a spaboom GC can correct me if I'm wrong.

That is correct. I've sold some, and the cc goes through my paypal account. I was wondering what this getting paid instantly meant, too.

It sounds like a directory of Spaboom users. Person looks up who sells Instant GCs in your area, buys from you off your Spaboom site and you process it like any GC you get through there. Only this time you get charged 15% because the lead came through the directory instead of your own internet marketing.

Hi everyone!

Thanks for posting our new message on our new Spa Emergency Directory. Just to clear things up, SE works just like SpaBoom Instant GCs, only the source is now this national directory which links directly to your existing SpaBoom account. In other words, you will process the GCs exactly the same as you would as if the sale came from your website.

As mentioned in the press release, there is no charge to be listed and, as we always do, you only pay when (and after!) you have sold something. SpaBoom doesn't process the credit cards - you do. Which means all funds are yours immeaditly. We only charge AFTER the sale is made.

Yes, sales generated on SE are more expensive at 15% than our 5% or
less model; this offsets our marketing costs for SE. The price for SE is actually similar to other spa directories, but with some important benefits that we think we make SE more valuable to you:

- You get paid upfront
- You get any benefit of unreedemed GCs
- The gift purchaser is now your client! They'll come back to your website directly to buy more GCs in the future.
