Spongy Feet

Hi Everyone

Thats the only way I can describe it! I did a reflexology treatment on a client and both her feet all over, was spongy and very wrinkly....

Is this normal or an inbalance?

Hi Fruitsalad,

Generally, spongy feet might suggest fluid retention. You should know from the Case History if they have a problem with this. Areas to treat would be the kidneys and adrenals, lymphatic points, heart for circulation and liver to cleanse. They are probably dehydrated so need to drink plenty to cleanse the kidneys.

Chris Stormer's book "Language of the feet" suggests that swollen feet are "weighed down with unresolved emotions".

Wrinkled feet also suggests that the person is quite dehydrated and needs to drink plenty whilst rehydrating the skin with plenty of moisturiser.
These feet may be "sapped of energy and worry too much about others"

You should see a positive change in the feet after a few treatments.

The last client I treated whose feet were as you described had recently lost 6 stone - so ask if they have had weight loss over the past few years?

ChrisRams no she hasnt lost weight she has generally always been the same, petite size.

Jabba: ankles werent swollen but her utherus was. she has had a hysterectomy 7 years ago so i just put it down to that why her utherus was swollen?
