Hi Stoller
I took the APNT sports diploma a couple of years ago and I loved it. It was quite full on but really gets you buzzing to. The course content was absolutely spot on. We learnt loads of pathologies and how to treat them using advanced techniques. If you compare the APNT syllabus with others that are out there, it is definitely the more advanced and it was just what I was looking for. The course hasn't been QCA'd to determine the level, but in terms of content, teaching hours and homework it's could easily be a 5.
It's a recognised course because it's run by a recognised body and as a qualified APNT sports massage practioner you are also a member of the BCMA (British Complementary Medicine Association) and the General Council for Massage Therapy (GCMT). Once the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Sports massage come into play in September, any course that meets the standards will be 'recognised', so thankfully the APNT does.
Take a look at the syllabus and see what meets your needs,
Good luck
