SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The trial will continue for the woman accused of operating a sex trafficking ring out of two Springfield businesses back in 2018.
Trial began on Tuesday for now 66-year-old Liu Yang.
According to the State Attorney General’s Office, back in 2018 now 70-year-old Stephen Forsley and Yang were accused of operating massage parlors as a front for human trafficking and prostitution.
Allegedly the pair offered sexual activities between women and buyers in exchange for a fee.
A jury was waived in Yang’s trial and court proceedings are expected to continue on Wednesday at Hampden Superior Court.
