Square footage

So what is the average size of the massage room? How many square feet do you all have?

I am looking more into renting a place of my own and thought I should have some rough idea on what I need.

you're not a dingbat. and it absolutely varies. when i posted my pix originally in that thread, i was working in a 10x11 room - i've since moved into the large room in the back that's probably 13x20 - and i **love** it!

My room is 13X15, but one corner is cut out. It makes it a little smaller but it makes the room more cozy since it forms a little nook.

My room is 14X11, plus a bathroom and closet. With all my equipment (hot stones, shirodhara, towel warmer, crock pot, stool, client chair, stereo, plants, etc) I feel this is the bare minimum. Plus, when needed we can take some of the equipment out, squeeze another table in there and do a couples massage.

My ideal would probably be something like 15x20. I would keep two tables up all the time. This is nice sometimes for doing body treatments. You can get all the sheets on one table messy, then have them switch to the clean sheets on the next table for the massage.

That is a nice size room. I currently work in a 11x11 and it gets a little small in there some times.
