I recently read a post on the forum by Old Dog, and would like to add it here, to the Tools of the Trade Section, in hopes of collecting more info that anyone may find. Please post, if you find any articles in English or are able to translate them.
I googled srt Zeptor, but only found one abstract in English (but I can't collect it, only purchase it for about $40.00). It's from:
Isokinetics and Exercise Science
Issue: Volume 14, Number 2 / 2006
Pages: 111 - 152
IOS Press
Nieuwe Hemweg 6B, 1013 BG Amsterdam
+31 20 688 3355 phone, +31 20 620 3419 fax
[email protected] e-mail
I do have access to a very large medical library (including all journal works) here, but I need to find time to zip over there. At my rate of speed it could take a year.
I'll look into trying to pull up the "translation links" for some of the other articles. Anyone else is welcome to help in the search too!
I hope some of our European friends can give us some more details.

Regarding knee injuries:
Old Dog said:Another thing that helps is if you find a machine called an srt Zeptor. This is the Rolls Royce version of the power plate. The power plate is half the quality as the Zeptor. That is unless the power plate has evolved sinse last I looked.
The power plate moves in a linear direction where the Zeptor moves multi directional and every movement is random. This way the brain, nerve, muscle receptors will not get used to a single movement direction and it continues to be effective for the time you will need the machine. You are basically standing on the 2 plates while the machine vibrates your entire body through your feet at a certain frequency.
This stimulates the nervous system and improves muscle reaction times. It is well known in this field that I work that the Zeptor improves healing times for knee injuries. All the top skiers in Europe swear by the srt. (and no, I am not a sales rep) As someone who works with one often for the same problems you have, I can recommend this machine.
You may have to ask around and I hope you are lucky. Not sure how many are out there because they are expensive.
