GRISWOLD, CT (WFSB) – Three people are facing charges after a prostitution sting at a massage business in Griswold.
State police began investigating alleged prostitution at Jewett City Massage Therapy this month.
The Jewett City Resident Trooper’s Office received several complaints about the business.
“Throughout the investigation, detectives confirmed that sexual acts were being offered in exchange for money and a search warrant was granted for the premises,” said state police.
The warrant was served on Monday, authorities said.
“Probable cause was also developed that sexual activity was occurring on the premises with a patron immediately prior to the warrant service,” said police.
One of the workers tried escaping when police arrived, but they were apprehended.
Jordan Zeppieri, 26, of Griswold, was charged with soliciting sexual acts.
Yue E. Zhang, 44, of Flushing, New York, was charged with prostitution.
Yuanfang Sheng, 51, of Oakland Gardens, New York, was charged with prostitution and interfering with an officer.
All three were released on a $1,000 bond and are due in court on February 1.
