The state license of a Laurel certified massage technician has been temporarily suspended following charges pending against him from state police, according to Secretary of State Jeffrey Bullock.
David T. Fooks was charged with entering a Rehoboth home in January and attacking the homeowner, according to the suspension complaint.
Under Delaware Code, the secretary of state and board chair of the Delaware Board of Massage and Bodywork can suspend a person if the licensee "presents a clear and immediate danger to the public health, safety or welfare," according to Bullock.
In this case, the charges against Fooks warrant the suspension, Bullock said.
He was charged with burglary, assault, criminal mischief and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to the complaint.
Fooks will remain suspected for 60 days during which disciplinary hearings or the final disposition will take place, Bullock said. The board has the right to discipline and even revoke Fooks' license, he said.
