Steamsations Review

With all this talk of body shampoo and the massage/shampoo combo at Steamsations I decided to try it out and see what the hullabuloo was all about.

They are located at 4908 17th Ave SE right next door to a MoneyMart. I luckily don't need those type of services. Did they have to have the door right next to them though? It's not very discrete. It's a brick wall to your right and the happy folks at MoneyMart staring you down on the left. At least the door has a sign on it.

I meander down International Avenue looking for a cart tie down area. I didn't want to lose it amongst the other commuters. I lock my Club to the push handle and head towards the door. I press the button on my alarm and comfort myself knowing it will be there when I get back.

With a quick stare down from the people at MoneyMart I finally win and head in the Steamsations door. I'm greeted at the door by an older lady. I guess I'm not seeing Meorah. I think I might have seen Bria somewhere else but I didn't see her. So that leaves 3 that it could have been. Maybe I'll ask for a name next time.

I'm led into a room. It's nicely dimmed. The place looks renovated. I'm asked what I would like. I mention the ad on CL. Thinking back to the posts here it was inconclusive as to what the room fee actually includes. Well I'm about to find out. I ask for the body shampoo and pay the door fee mentioning that a quick shampoo would suffice. She takes the money and tells me to get undressed. I could have opted for the massage first. Nope. It's all about the suds.


I hop in the shower area. I'm waiting for the steam. No steam. That's odd. What kind of name is Steamsations without the steam?

No steam for you!!




Whatever. I'm there for the tugs. So the water gets turned on and I get rinsed off. A sudsing here and some sudsing there. I'm liking this. After about 2 minutes I'm asked what else I would like. At this point I'm thinking that the rate is inclusive. Sweet! She then asks how much I would like to tip.

That was kind of quick. I ask if that was all inclusive? She laughs and I counter by mentioning that other MP's are having all inclusive pricing. I drop Sweet Spa as an example has a 15 min/$70 rate. She mentions that will never happen here and that I should go to Sweet Spa. My thought bubble in my head said "Fine. I will." She asks if I was expecting to pay another $20 on top of the door fee and have a HJ. I again mention other places have that in effect. Not quite sure what she said after but the shampoo just ended. Great. Not even 8 minutes into the session and it's already took a dump.

Part of me wanted to just leave. I was sensing something but being the trooper that I am felt I was entitled to the finishing of the massage portion. I hopped on the table and was given a light to medium massage for about 10 minutes. Was hoping for some teasing to help me justify a last minute tip. Nope. Wasn't happening. For the $60 it was going to cost me on top of the already paid $50 it was going to be $110 all in. I could just get dressed and head on to Sweet Spa and get somebody hopefully younger for only $10 more.

I get dressed and we say our sweet goodbyes and I'm cast back into the darkness. The darkness that is my life. Well ok. It wasn't that gloomy. Things were looking up. It was only a bus ride and a transfer and I would be at Sweet Spa getting my $70 massage and tug all inclusive


So there you have it.

The $50 door fee is just that. A door fee. The rooms were clean. Place is newer. It's up to you to decide if that fee is acceptable. I enjoy the shampoo but I think that I would pass on repeating.

Tipping started at $60 for just a tug. Door fee is separate and on top of the tip.

I would go again only for the body shampoo and knowing that I was getting someone hot. I think they have the market cornered for body shampoos.


Unfortunately I think the odds are stacked against me so I will venture out to a new adventure.

You were truly ripped my friend. I would say that although a soapy sudsy massage would be most excellent, a cornered market is not longed in this game of Nuru Massage. As pooners of the revolution, if we teach our current providers of such sensation, we get more out of the system in the way of pleasure.

Right now, I am teaching and giving market hints and information on such pleasures that mortal men can only dream about or see on T.V. Hell, I will even provide the air mattress, blow it up and wait for the slippery nipple to succumb to a load of fun.

It is too bad that your expected experience has turned into a disappointment, I have been there and feel for you. Remember that we pay then to leave and not hang around annoying us. That clingy self destructive, oh poor me thingy.

So, thank you for the review, I have seen the adds in the paper, and now that I have, I know it is a place to avoid. However, being a clever fox, maybe I can achieve ore through that James Bond persona of seduction.

New to this review thing.....but not so new to the massage thing. I myself have been to steamsations not once...not twice....but 3 times. Saw 1 lady twice and another once. I took full advantage of the massage..(very very good I might add) followed by a body shampoo....great way to get the oil off and participate in a bit of water sports. I may have spent more money there than you did for extra cirricular (offering an extra 20 is pretty insulting in my opinion) but i found the experience outstanding...all 3 times...definitly a repeat for me as you can see....no rushing...very nice place and very novel in the set-up. Guess you get what you pay for...been to the quick 1/2 hr places....rush rush..pressure pressure....dont even get a decent massage let alone 2 services for $50....hhhmmmm think I need a massage...

Gave it a try. Met Joanna the co-owner who explained she used to work in Airdrie. She also worked on International Ave behind the Safeway many years ago. Place is okay. Could use some lights in the steam room. Everything is an up-sell. No FS was offerred, yet I paid well over $$ total. My advice: stick to Anida which is still not cheap.

I would have to agree with Slim.

Quite disappointing. They could have made a unique experience in Calgary and really picked up a loyal client base. Unfortunate.

Despite reviews I was still curious about Steamsations, stopped by for a visit with Haylee. Very pretty in the face, but heavier than I prefer with saggy tats.

Once we started into the massage and negotiations, little happy insisted 2 HEs were needed, short of blood supply in the big head and price a little steep, I agreed anyway. I shouldn't complain I got the fun I asked for with both HEs. The water in the shower does get hot enough to be steamy, service was mediocre. I will not be repeating!

On the other hand I have repeated Ocean's & Euphoria(Hypnotic) & Extreme MPs and a some independents. FR-first review!
