I have a client who has had prior surgeries on his neck and his low back. He is a regular coming in at least every other week and really believes in massage therapy. He has finally opted on a surgery for his lower back. He has the surgery in the morning. When I asked him what they were going to do he said that the doctor was going to go into the spine and try to clean out the stenosis as best as he could. This is supposedly going to help his low back pain and pains in his leg. Have any of you ever experienced anything like this? What are your suggestions for therapy after he is able to get massaged again? And how long do you think I should wait (doctor's approval) before I DO massage him again? Thanks for your input folks!
