Stood up by Amber at SRM...

Just an account of my experience guys FYI....

Given that I've always had a nice time when she was at IT, I considered myself pretty lucky to secure an appointment (seeing that she's been fully booked since her return) with Amber in her most recent reincarnation at SRM.

I arrived a couple of minutes after 4 (I was her first appointment and she was fullly booked), only to be told that she hadn't arrived yet. Seeing that her next appointment was at 5, I decided to wait since I only wanted a 30 minute session. Long story short, I waited about 40 minutes and decided to leave.

I went to the receptionist and informed her I was leaving to which she replied "ok". This was my first trip to SRM (and probably last) and her reaction was somewhat of a surprise to me since the rare time something like this has happened at other establishments (eg. HFH, Allure), I was offered an apology and some form of compensation (eg. waiver of a door fee on my next visit). In her defence, she did offer a bottle of water and the choice of seeing the other MPA earlier...but you know how when you get excited to see someone, a replacement just won't do it...and it defeats the purpose of making an appointment.

Was I pissed, in retrospect I guess I was a little at the time but having a few days to marinate....no biggie...I mean shit happens... I'll just chalk it up to a lesson learned and just take my business elsewhere.

The funny thing about it was that after I was driving out, I think I saw Amber drive up...I could have returned and try and haggle to squeeze in a session, but I thought to myself....no session is better than a rushed session....

Hope you guys have better luck....off to Allure...

I wouldn't exactly say you got stood up by Amber. People (MPA's) are late for work all the time. It happens.

Don't worry, Floman. If it was meant to be, I'm sure you and Amber will be sliding together in the very near future.

Sorry to hear that Floman, don't give up on her yet. As Rusty said, she might have had some personal things to take care of or was stuck in traffic, or maybe the timing wasn't right for you to see her (fate). Go get her next time bro. Another option is to hop on the 407 to HFH or IT, they have some good talent there as well.

Traffic on Steeles Ave. in the late afternoon is just a killer.So many times i have gotten stuck there and in turn had to call Srm to notify them about getting late.

Give Amber the benefit of the doubt as it was possibly her first afternoon shift.(As far as i remember she has been doing days).

Floman I know exactly how you feel. If it had happened to me I would have taken it personally too.

Yet this is a business. I have gotten to work late more often than I can remember. So if I think about it that way it is no biggie.

"Stood up" or had a business appointment canceled? It is all about perspective, dude.

But man oh man my little guy would not have let me get out of it that easily if I had to explain that he was not gonna party like it was 1999 after his getting all worked up thinking about an impending session with Amber.

I guess "stood up" was somewhat misleading as my account wasn't necessarilly directed at Amber herself since I did acknowledge that shit does happen. Perhaps "missed opportunity" would have been more appropriate. I guess what marinated with me on my way home was I guess SRM's lack of interest or apathy in wanting to retain my business (yes I know I'm just one person). In comparison I had an appointment with Jenna at HFH some years back that was cancelled for whatever reason (I can't remember) and the staff were quick to offer me some incentive to return.

No worries...I'll prolly be no doubt tempted in seeing Amber in the near future...just not right away.

Hmm wonder if Jennifer is working at HFH tomorrow...
