Stuck downtown..no car!

I am in downtown southwest and am considering switching from SCs to MPs but I can't make it out to Markham and Richmond Hill etc so....

...are there any MPs downtown west that are worth it. I am talking Bloor/Lansdowne, Dundas/Ossington, Queen W from Spadina to Ronce, King w to Dufferin ...that area?

From 3 pm until about 6 pm, there's a relatively reliable and fast Go Bus that runs from Finch subway station to just south of IT. I've used it on some occasions. Time-consuming, but not that difficult. Sheng Bo is just north of Steeles on Yonge and is even easier to Go Bus to. 2 corby is probably reachable on the Warden bus, but would take a long time.

HFH, Allure and Silhouette are absolutely impossible to reach without a car.

The 77 bus out of Finch station (a co-op route run by Vaughan and Bramalea Transit buses alternately) runs along Hiway7 all the way to Bramalea Centre (where a bus down Dixie gets you to CB. HFH is a short walk down Pine Valley, very nice on a sunny day, and of course you'll pass Rivermede, Bowes Rd (WAGG), TLC, Platinum Spa and Ginger Centre @ Keele, Creditstone, Mirage, Maplecrete Dr for the Pro and the old Concord Spa - now Lotus I think, and Palladium on Jane before you get there. Two bucks cash, every half hour, every quarter during rush hours. All abooaarrd!
And BTW a book passes the time on the Warden bus to 2 Corby quite nicely. Haven't investigated buses to the new Markham Oasis (Steeles to Pharmacy?) or whether the Warden Rocket goes all the way to Alden Road. The TTC route map your subway guy will give you shows all the suburban and GO routes, and it's a rare place you can't get to.

You can take the Steeles East bus #53 (I think) to Pharmacy and walk up(north) to go to Markham Oasis and two other MPs in the same industrial unit. Just remember that Pharmacy turns to Esna Park at Steeles. I think you should look for the Liberty Health building or sometime like that. I think the complex is at 400 Esna Park.
The Steeles bus stops at Finch subway station.

Maybe the TTC will produce a pamphlet highlighting the best routes for all RNT enthusiasts.

Or we could start our own mini-bus company to service the suburbs. It could run along Hwy 7 at off-peak hours. We could call it the "Nude Reverse Express" and rent out ad space along the sides to the MP's.

My suggestion to you is to save the money you spend on SC's and MP's (Avg $100/visit) and use it to buy a used car, and then you can explore!
