Student RMT Massage

[HELP!]

There was talk previously about Massage Schools offering student clinics where legit massages were being offered very cheap.

Has anybody gone to one since then?

The idea of the instructor popping in from time to time turned me off. Just think about it .... you're lying there and instructor is telling the student "no, not like that ... here, do it this way". It would especially suck if the instructor was a dude and he's rubbing you in front of a female student. That's just too much for me to handle. Better pay $20 more and go to a legit spa.

I've taken a massage class myself... and not only would an instructer check once in a while... but I was in a room with four other people being massaged! Trust me... it's not that bad.

Well seeing that these are RMT STUDENTS... you are not supposed to get a "happy ending".

As I stated in a previous post I go regularly to Canadian School of Massage on Finch just west of Alpha Care. its $32/ 1 hr session or you can buy 10 session coupon for $190. (thats $19/ hr for you arithmatically challenged hobbyists.

Facility 4. Clean but booths are separated only by curtains with several other clients in close proximity much like a hospital ER.

Looks 5-7. You have no option of previewing & choosing on site but if you find someone you like, you can request them for your next session by booking ahead. Students only work the clinics 1-2 days a week so ask their schedule. I have had a couple of really hot students but they eventually graduate & move on.

Service 9. These are students so they have little experience but they are learning and usually offer a great massage. You usually lose about 10 minutes at the start because they have to do an assessment interview as part of each session.
Attitude 9 most of the students I have had are eager to please. They are learning and not in the least bit complacent about improving their skill.

Mileage 0. No touching, No extras, YMIZ (Your Mileage Is Zero)


Overalll not much of an outing for Junior but a great workout for all the other muscles.

Hmm... I probably will go... eventually. Right now I found a place with RMT's I like... but it costs $70 for an hour! $19 sounds much better...

There doesn't seem to be any standards for pricing in the RMT biz.

My regular RMT at a Physio clinic is $65 for 60m, found another closer to where I work, but their quoted price was $45 for a half and $85 for for 60m.

Maybe that's why most insurance companies have a yearly maximum rather than a session max.

There used to be a massage school at the old North York Civic Center in Mel Lastman Square. You could get good cheap RMT massage from a student, but again sticky legit and you’re not guaranteed a woman as an attendant.

B-Beard... make sure the places you're going to are actually RMT's!!! There is actually a whole governing body for RMT's... they dictate prices and everything else! The standard rate is $70/hr now.
