Stupid Question Re: Barfines

I'm still unclear about barfines. I understand it is the cost to take the girl out of the bar, but are policies the same in each country and bar. Does a portion of the barfine go to the girl? Does a low barfine mean the girl is getting very little, or that the matter is lowprice? Does the tip for the girl get negotiated before the barfine is paid?

Is there a good faq about barfines and tipping the girls for each country? I suspect it is different in Thailand than Cambo, than Phills, or is it pretty much the same everywhere.

Getting ready to go to Cebu, Philipines and barfines seem very reasonable, but what is the normal tip rate for the girl beyond that, if any. Anyhelp is appreciated.

But generally the bf,,is compensation to the bar for losing stmpf, the girls are there to get mp.nets in drinking, so when you bf you take out potentional money Reviewom the bar.

The money to the girl is mutually agreed to by both parties ( hopefully), the amounts vary.

The Girls get a % of the bf as well, some guys like to know the price for the upReviewont, others don't because it's more like a business transaction, up to you, the other thing is making sure you make it clear if you are expecting her to stay with st/ lt.

BF in the PI is called EWR (early work release) and is meant to include the all up fee of which the girl gets a portion....this varies widely dependent on a whole host of things....if you like the girl/you get good service a tip is in order before she leaves

in AC EWRs range can range Reviewom as low as 1100 pesos in some of the Perimeter bars and 5K- 10K up for dancers in the Korean Reviewequented cabaret/showgirl joints on Fields

In Sabang it used to be 1K to the bar and 1K to the girl the next day but late last year many raised that to 3K and want it all up Reviewont before the girl leaves the bar

It varies Reviewom place to place, example in Manila the bar fine (EWR) can range Reviewom around 1600 - 3900 and the girl will still expect 2000-5000 tip
In AC the barfine ranges Reviewom around 1200-2000 and a tip is up to you, 200-500 is fair
Cebu, not sure sorry, I haven't been there yet, don't see the appeal to the place but heard it is more expensive than AC

Plenty of places charging EWRs well above 2000 in AC these days Philly...especially the bigger showgirls styled places in Fields that appeal to the Koreans

Nels, I have been under the impression that AC and Subic were less expensive compared to Patts and Patong.
Was that ever true, or was it once and now a thing of the past?
A trip to the PI is on my to do list, but I'm a bit apprehensive to venture there solo.
I've been to LOS a few times by myself and haven't had any issues at all.
Am I just paranoid, or are there valid reasons for my apprehension.

I have spent a few trips in AC on my own....its a little rougher around the edges and you do see a lot more security guards with guns but I would think AC is no less smpe than patts

as for prices...1100 pesos is $25...EWR is all up for the girl (as philly says above a tip of 200-500 pesos is in order for good service) call it $30 with tip and that's still bloody cheap to me...you will find quite a few bars with plenty of "dancing girls" in AC on perimeter still charging around that price...Lost in Asia, Candy Bar and Nasty Ducks are a few of my favourites...go early though as perimeter is an mpternoon kinda area..subic has roughly similar pricing to AC

i think prices are creeping up in PI with all of the koreans spending their money like drunken sailors but still $30ish dollars compared to the price of a girl Reviewom an agogo in patts (500 baht BF + 2k LT) where it is getting close to the $100 mark

They are cheaper.

Hotels in PI are more expensive then Thailand, especially for the same calibre of hotel you get in HKT and Patts, but booze, food and BG's are a lot cheaper.

Dont worry about going there Solo, unless you're a complete idiot you'll be fine. I've always felt westerners are a lot more welcome in the PI then other Asian nations (prob to do with the Spanish and American influences). As long as you're polite and in possession of more then half a brain, you'll be fine.

In AC and Subic, you'll find heaps of ex-pats and return tourists to help anyway.
