Table Warmers; What do you have and where did you get it?

I've been searching through old threads about table warmers. There are many different options out there. What kind do you have, how do you like it, and where did you get it? If you had to rate it 1-5 (1 being not good and 5 being very good), what would your rating be and why? I could really use the input while I am shopping around for one.

I'm really only interested in table warmers designed specifically for massage and bodywork. I will NOT use a heated blanket, had a freind in high school wake up with his bed on fire. He was sleeping under it and not laying on top of it, but no matter, I just don't think they're safe.

I don't have a membership to Sam's club so a friend of mine that did ordered one for me.
I would rate it a 5. It gives nice heat, warms up quickly, has an easy control with 5 heat settings and a timer. One of the best things I have bought for massage. Also very reasonably priced.

It's the perfect size for my table and has 3 temperature settings.

Even though I live in Florida I use it year-round. During the summer months I use it on low, even though it may be 95 degrees outside we're running the A/C inside and clients can still get chilled. During the "winter" months (we don't really have "winter" here, just a few days a year when you might need a jacket) I use it on medium and when I'm doing a body wrap I use it on high.

I've had mine for going on 2 years and it still works great.

Got mine from Massage Warehouse about 1-1/2 years ago. It's comforatble enough around here that I don't need it in the summer, but I just started using it again about three weeks ago, and am thrilled to have it.
Just wish I could have found one at Sams or Target or one of those places. No one around here seems to have any.

Thanks for the links Masthera. I checked it out. This model is a little different, 3 heat settings and no timer. I think I might just run out to Sam's this weekend and see if they have it! Forget waiting for Santa! This is pretty much 1/2 the price of the models offered at MWH.com. I just can get over that price, $27!!! And besides, who says a cheaper price always means cheaper product! Not me!

It will be nice to have this for the holidays to treat my clients. I just got a set of bongers too. My clients won't know what hit them. Well, actually it'll be me with the bongers but you know what I mean! 8)

I looked at Sam's Club (store) for this same product and they Do Not carry it in the store in my area... so I am inclined to think that this particular item may be "online" only.
I did happen to notice that they also had a six pack of face cradle covers for less than $15... though I don't know what the quality would be like. *shrug*
Anyway, this is definitely something to consider!

: - I didn't even notice it was different. If I recall right, the one I have cost a little more, but it is good quality and a lot of members here have liked them.
Hope you can find one, but if you have a membership you can order it online.

I saw the face cradel covers, how funny, we are having issues about these at work. Long story short, my boss bought us some nice ones, they disappeared. My boss bought us some of the disposable nurses caps to use now. Um, you can see through them and I have to poke a hole in them for my clients to use. While she ordered herself a TON of nice new cloth covers. I am a bit peeved to say the least. I refuse to use the disposables. They look cheap and I think it's insulting to my clients. I didn't loose the original covers so why shouldn't my clients get the cloth ones! So, I am gonna purchase my own and bring them in for my clients and then take them home to wash. t013 I really hate to be a witch about it but I'm gonna have to say something to her.

Anyway, back to topic. I think I am gonna go ahead and get the sam's club warmer. My sister is coming up from Indy today and she is a member. If they don't have them in the store I'll just have her order it online. We used to have a membership ages ago. I think we might get abother one. I didn't realize how much massage stuff they offered. I knew about the tables but that's it.

About the face cradle thing...when i was younger i started working in a clothing store in the mall...and when i got hired they said i had to get my purse checked every night before i left, which was ok with me since i had nothing to hide...then i think the problem got worse or maybe they just thought it would be easier if we had clear purses so you can see through them...

Maybe you can appraoch your boss and suggest people getting checked before they leave since you have nothing to hide there should be no problem, others probabally know the situation going on so they should be ok with it too...the only people that should really have a problem with it is someone with something to hide.

As for your bosses point of view, it would get frustrating trying to supply nice things for people and they take advaneforum.xxxe of this...the only thing you can do is present to your boss that you think it is unfair to your clients, that one person shouldn't be able to get everyone punished...maybe your boss will see it your way...maybe see if your boss will buy a certian number for each therapist and if they show up missing tough luck, right?

I don't think anyone has stolen them. At least not any of the therapists anyway. We have laundry service that is only for sheets. Some might have been dropped in with that but we had a lot. Now we have only a dozen or so left. Someone could be hording them, it happens at my work. I am gonna talk to her about it before I purchase my own covers. The way I figure it, if I have to buy some then I keep them with me and no one else can touch them. I'll keep the reciepts for tax purposes. The bongers I just bought will be coming home with me every day and when I get my table warmer that too will only be used by me. Sad! I think what annoyed me the most was that my boss's secretary said "Oh, here are for YOUR side" as she was unwrapping all the nice ones for the NMT side. Eh, I'm just gonna talk with my boss and then let it all go.

I can't seem to find the table warmer that you are talking about and that I ordered (and love) from the Sam's Club website. I have tried last week and tonight when I saw this posting, but it says "0" results found for "massage table warmer". Does anyone know of any other way to access this? I need another warmer for my new office. Thanks for your help! I liked the quality and the low price.

Click on "Table Warmer" in Masthera's first post and it will take you right to the page with the warmer we're talkin about. It's not the same model that Masthera bought but $27! You can't beat that!

I got mine at walmart.com but it could be a twin sized bed heater, it is a tiny bit big for my table...but it works great. When I was looking to buy one, late winter very early spring a couple years ago, no stores had them, but I imagine that all the stores will stock them right now...mk

Well, my boss is a MT so I know she understands what it's like to be in my shoes. But now she's the BOSS and I know how that changes people. So I am just gonna go and talk to her person to person. I'm not gonna whine or complain. I'm just simply tell my interpertation of the situation, how that makes me feel, and what I intend to do about it. I'm also gonna mention that she might alot each therapist so many covers and then we'll be responsible for them. I like that.

My boss's secretary is a bit of a pill. She thinks she has a lot of power! Whatever, we all work together! I'm not really about that but apparently she gets off on it. It's not her first showing of true colors!
