Tamil Nadu: Govt teacher forces student to massage, suspended - MSN

SALEM: A govt school teacher was suspended on Friday after a video emerged on social media of him compelling a student to massage his feet. Chief educational officer (CEO) M Kabir issued the suspension order.


The video showed J Jayaprakash, a maths teacher at the govt high school in East Rajapalayam, telling a student to massage his legs and feet. The video went viral on social media.

While the CEO ordered a departmental inquiry, school education minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi instructed Kabir to suspend Jayaprakash.

"Following the minister's instruction, we issued the suspension order against Jayaprakash on Friday evening for engaging in morally inappropriate conduct," the CEO said.
