Gibson, who was a client of the therapist known as Jane Doe 3, was receiving a massage when he happened to mention in passing a film that was in the works with Harvey Weinstein.

The therapist, on hearing the name, began to palpitate with fear which then prompted the Braveheart star to ask her what the issue was. It was then that Jane Doe 3 revealed the gruesome details about what Harvey Weinstein had done to her which included him walking in on her in the bathroom, m**terbating, feeling her up, and asking her, “Look at me, tell me how big my c**k is”
Jane Doe 3 went on to add that while she was extremely relieved to share her terrifying experience with Mel Gibson, she was also ashamed and humiliated about the incident. Gibson for his part, advised her to open up to her female friends and asked her if she would want to contact the police at any time. His empathetic reaction finally resulted in the therapist coming out about the abuse in public.
