Hi,
Just wanted to say thanx for all the help & support this forum gave me over my back pain. I have had my op (microd) on 18th nov & the signs are good. I asked for advice on painkillers & tried a right cocktail but truthfully nothing ever did work. However thanx to a wonderful medical team i am now sitting here almost pain free. (and taking no pills whatsoever!)I am having physio & have religously stuck to the exercises & done everything she has told me. I will return to see the consultant next week & hopefully he will give me the green light to return to work. My problem is i am a postie so i am certainly not out of the woods yet. My physio says she doesnt want me doing any heavy work for at least 6 moths & even then its got to be monitored. Anyway i could go on for ages, but this message serves 2 purposes, firstly a big thankyou to the pople on this site for have replied to my posts or really just provided help in other topics, it means a lot to read encouragement & new ideas & secondly just to say we are all made up differently, but eventually we will find that ellusive remedy to make us well again, mine was surgery & if anyone out there needs it, dont be scared & make sure you listen to the physio, they are just as important as the surgeon.
