Ok, this has been nagging me for a while: SP's with traditionally male names.
Logan, Eliott, Parker, names like that make me reluctant to book the girl. Yes, I realise that in English grammar, there is technically no gender. But growing up with other languages that do have gender denomination, it's something I can't shake. In my brain, girls need to be called Sonya, Cassandra, Megan, Genevieve, or Bianca. I don't seem to have an issue with the name Taylor, for some reason. Maybe it's due to all the porn stars that used the name.
Maybe it's vestigial homophobia, maybe I'm thinking too hard on this. Does it bother those of you who speak only English? How about the other polyglots out there?
