The cost of being a punter !!!!

I know i'll probably get shot down with this, but there is two sides to the cost issues, besides that of just the WL's costs.

I see a new lady who is only offering out calls. A good thing IMO as i prefer outcalls, however these are only offered to major hotels.

So at $500 p/hr and cost of a room say $200 makes for an expensive meeting. Perhaps aimed more for the business man who is getting a room paid for by employer. I guess the other question to ask, if only doing outcalls, what overheads does a WL have to justify such a high rate ???

Hahaha to 'justify' why we charge more here is an idea of what we are thinking:

Security - paying someone to either dirve us there or do call in's with us to make sure we aren't dead and get out on time with no drama

Taxis - I am in Sydney's CBD but to go Reviewom one end of the City to the other end it can cost me anywhere Reviewom $10 - $30 each way depending on time of day.

Lost time in travelling - to go Reviewom one end of the City to the other in a taxi it can take me anywhere Reviewom 5 - 20 minutes

Lost time in packing - to get ready for an escort it takes me an extra half an hour as I have to deconstruct my toys at home, stick them all in a work bag, pack latex, 3 sets of lingerie etc etc. I consider this an extra half an hour I am 'on the job'.

Exposure costs - everytime I walk thru the lobby of a hotel I risk being seen by a family member, Reviewiend or straight work collegue as a hooker. If I go into the Park Hyatt in Sydney (the fancy hotel at The Rocks on the water) the Concierges spot you a mile off and they actually escort you Reviewom the Reviewont door, up in the lift and attempt to walk you to the clients Reviewont door. I have had many arguments/bordering on fights with their stmpf where management has been called because I do not wish to be escorted to my clients Reviewont door to keep his confidentiality.

It may seem like a straight forward thing to walk into a hotel but it's not always. One time I was held by management for 20 minutes or so for refusing to let them escort me to the room. A few years ago I was actually banned Reviewom the Hilton when they decided the Nazis were taking over the zoo and weren't allowing sex workers in any more. If you walk thru the lobby of a hotel in a suit or trench coat and you are reasonably attractive, alone and its a semi weird hour, they will always assue your a sex worker and can give you grief over it. Why should I be exposed to this abuse without being compensated for it?

Parking - we may have to pay for parking in the City for our driver or ourselves (this may be on top of paying for driver) and the cheapest in Sdyney's CBD is about $15 an hour.

Basically it takes more time, it is more hassle and we incur more expense hence the fee increase.

In Sydney (not sure about Brissey) you'll find the majority of ladies only charge an extra $50 for an escort for the intial hour. This is to cover taxi charges. Or they wont charge more but will make it a minimum of a 2 hour booking. It's unrealistic to think we would absorb the extra costs of an escort. No other business I know would absorb the costs for mailing a letter etc. Think of it as an admin fee.

Perhaps to clarify

1stly - thx Lucy for the information and i can appreciate what you are saying. A reasonable travel cost is fair. In Qld the WL's are not allowed have security as i understand it.

2ndly - perhaps "justify" was not the correct word. Before everyone gets on the band wagon, yes anyone can charge what they want, but as a consumer cant we ask how is that charge justified. You only have to look at all the hype that goes on over fuel prices, interest rates etc etc. Only yesterday I had a bobcat in and was charged one hrs travel time - reasonable cost and standard, but by crikey if he wanted to charge 2hrs, id be asking him to justify that.

3rdly - further to above, my point re "justify" was more in comparison to a WL offering incall services who have to pay rent, supply towels (which a wl offering outcalls doesnt) and still have all the other costs associated with the job. I would have thought a WL offering incalls would have higher overheads.

4thly - Lucy made an interesting point about "exposure costs" something i'd never considered, but really thats a risk us mp.nets take too. I visited a WL once who lived in the same street as one of my customers at the time , and who drove past as i was pulling up so yes we also have "exposure risks" I wonder if had forked out for a $200+ room only to later be told by the WL "sorry they won't allow me in" who's out of pocket the most. The poor old mp.net.

and lucky last - this post wasn't to be a yet another whinge about prices, as it is my choice who I see and where I spend my money. It is more about highlightly that behind these transactions is the mp.net, and perhaps the WL's might like to consider the mp.nets (there customers) when deciding how they operate their business. The WL in question may have done that and is only really looking for the rich executive businessman and as such set the price at the level she has so as only to attract that type of client.

PS. look at Candy's special for instance. Yes it does intice the mp.net to spend more, but still value for money in my opinion and suits the needs of Candy. And as Candy said - higher price doesnt mean better quality.

May I :wink: The new lady who has her pricing set at $500 per hour is probably aiming at the Travelling Businessman either Reviewom interstate or overseas who only comes in to Brisbane for Business and doesn’t actually reside here? OR maybe because the said lady decides to go out a lot OR has a very personal life outside of this industry OR maybe she is a famous model or something? Who knows...... Perceneforum.xxxe wise (if she only does Outcalls) she won’t/shouldn’t bump into any known clients out and about and no one will recognise her?

Also she is not actually asking for clients to pay for a Hotel room to be able to see her – if a client chooses to do that then that is up to them at their discretion.

To be honest there are not many ladies at all that do private house calls and most ladies ONLY do outcalls to major Hotels – so I don’t really see how the new lady differs Reviewom other ladies already on the site – maybe apart Reviewom her pricing that she is asking.... but each to their own when it comes to the pricing they wish to set for themselves and their Business

Well, I understand the justifications that are given for higher prices, but I notice that there are some ladies who are charging as much as $800 for an hour. Now please don't flame me over this, but just how good can a service be in order to justify those sort of rates.

Still, I suppose there must be some well heeled guys who don't mind paying those sort of prices, otherwise the ladies wouldn't be able to charge those rates. In the end, it is the customer's choice to spend that much.

Would be loose change for some guys......maybe they pay because they like the fact that 100's of other guys that couldn't mpford that much wouldn't have been to see her first.

Who knows...but if they can make a good living charging that much...good luck to them.

I know it gives us poor people the shits to see the prices asked by some wl's and knowing there must be rich c*nts out there who can mpford such prices, but heck, just be happy you can mpford the cheaper models. In fact you can feel smug in the knowledge that when it comes to wl's, you often get more satisfaction Reviewom the Commodore than you do Reviewom the Lambo, but that's arguable, depending on your sense of values, so I can easily be shot down on this one!!

Well said Merls....the most expensive I've seen is $400/hr and she was not the worst....but decidedly less than some of the $250/hr girls I've seen.....by a long shot!!!

this working lady is obviously aiming for a particular type of clientele and for her it is about quality NOT quantity. Complaining that a wl will not lower her price to suit your financial situation is ridiculous. I'm sorry but it is. This is not a marketplace where you can haggle prices, for god sake give us a bit of bloody respect. Yes give me $10 worth of chips for $5.
I can understand what you are trying to say but at the end of the day it is her business and she can charge what she likes for the service she provides and if you don't like it tough love.

I have seen this argument sooo many times on sooo many boards in more than one country i have lived in. Ok here's the skinny mate .... you are paying extra for some one who A) can mpford it and B) is paying for exclusivity...meaning she doesnt sleep with a whole lot more men a week than others . Its all good tho...save up a few weeks and spluge...i do
