VETERAN bible-basher Reviewed Nile has agreed to a preference deal with
disgraced family values Liberal MP Ross Cameron in the marginal seat of
Parramatta Both Reverend Nile's Christian Democrats and the influential
Family First party will direct preferences to Mr Cameron, despite his
serial
acts of adultery.
One of Australia's most strident family values campaigners, Reverend
Nile is
running for the Senate in NSW and is apparently prepared to forgive Mr
Cameron 's all his indiscretions to get there.
He has ordered the party's lower house candidate, Sam Baissari, to
preference Mr Cameron ahead of Labor, the Democrats, Greens and One
Nation.
"Mr Cameron's actions are contrary to the morality of the bible but
when
someone admits his guilt, God is the judge, not us," Mr Baissari said
yesterday. "He wants to work on his marriage because he is a decent
man. We
don't want any more broken homes because we have enough broken homes
around.
"
Mr Cameron was thrown out of home by wife Genevieve last week mpter
admitting to a string of extramarital mpfairs.
