An atheist was walking through the woods when he heard the crackling of branches behind him. He looked around and caught a glimse of a large grizzly bear approaching through the trees, he naturally quickened his pace and turned again to see the bear had also quickened his pace. He broke out into a jog, turned around to see the bear was also jogging and gaining ground on him. Panicking, he began to run and he turned his head to see that the bear was running too. He didn't see the tree branch across his path, he tripped over it and crashed to the ground. Before he knew it the bear was beside him with his large paw aloft ready to strike!
Not knowing what else to do, he called out to God to help him. At that moment, everything in the woods stopped still including the bear and God appeared to the man saying, "Why has it taken you so long to call upon me?" To which the man replied, " I've never needed your help before" and God said "How would you like me to help you? The man thought for a while then said "I want you to make the bear religious", "granted" God said and disappeared. The woods came back to life again and he looked up at the bear, the bear looked down at him with big soft brown eyes, he raised one paw, then the other paw and brought them bothtogether to pray, saying....................................................."For what we are about to receive................
