the word 'treatment'

i've heard conflicting statements on whether or not we can use the word 'treatment' in our brochures, advertisement, etc. so i'm asking you massage gurus out there about this.

of course i would never use it as this '___ is treatment for ___' but what about
'lower body treatment'
for example? the name of a service.

i have issues calling it an 'upper body service' or such because of negative connotations, but i don't feel like 'treatment' is the right word either.

can you help?

I think there are legal issues for using "treatment" in some states. Maybe someone else knows about the law for Mobile, AL?

I too feel a bit odd about "service" (for some reason it just makes me think of stud animals, therefore dubious area, maybe I was around too many dog breeders as a child....)

I use "session" quite a lot, and sometimes "treatment" (no legal issue where I am)

I also have a tendency to use "session" regularly.

How about just naming the body parts, like:
Half Hour - Back/Neck/Shoulders - may be customized to address specific concerns
You can leave out the word treatment, session, or therapy altogether in a menu list without using poor grammar, syntax etc.

For brochures... which I did not read in the original post... you could definitely use "work".

Back Work, Upper Body Work, Lower Body Work, etc.
