I admit that recently I lost a fight to a meat carving board spike.. it skewered my thumbnail. I was lucky in that it didn't bleed, but it id pull back half my nail - still doesn't look right, but it's all the way from the nailbed.. the bruising was severe. I did use a plaster though just cause it looked better. It didn't stop me doing any mind therapies, but because I do No Hands Massage I was lucky in that I could use this technique without even using my hand whatsoever, if I had remedial work to do, I used my left. Not ideal, but it worked. Once the bruising wentI started with using the hand for reflexologies, but focussing on the hand without the problem.. It looked nicer. Gave the clients the choice though.. they need to feel safe whatever you do.
I have cancelled before now offering the client a free treatment for the inconvenience. You have to pitch it, think if your safety and theirs.
