A new therapeutic bodywork studio has opened in the Crescent Hill neighborhood.
Fascia opened late last month at 2908 Brownsboro Road, suite 206, though it's celebrating its official grand opening in mid-March.
The new business comes from co-owners Billy Jernigan and Tina Abundis, who specialize in Thai massage and craniosacral therapy, respectively. Together, they're partnering with other therapists to offer many different types of therapies under one roof.
An array of services is offered at the self-described “holistic health collective,” including massage therapy, Thai bodywork, yoga, creative workshops, and movement therapy, among others.
"We're a studio that's rooted in massage therapy, but people need more than just massage," Jernigan told The Courier Journal. "We’re a collective hub for different practitioners.”
These one-on-one and group therapy options range in price and duration and are offered to support pain relief, mobility and overall well-being. Customers book treatments individually, the lineup of which may vary week to week.

Jernigan said he anticipates adding in new practitioners — and hosting monthly events — as the business gets established.
The business' name, Fascia, refers to the connective tissue that supports the form and function of the body's organs, bones, muscles and more. Like the business' namesake, Jernigan said he wants the new venture to support bodies and help connect people to an array of holistic wellness therapies they may not know about or otherwise seek out on their own.
"We get our bodies messed up, and there are a lot of different ways we can approach that," he said.
Jernigan, who recently bought a home within walking distance of the business and has practiced massage therapy for the majority of his career in the 40206 ZIP code, said he loves the area and hopes the business helps improve the health and wellness of his neighbors.
Fascia offers services Monday through Saturday. Check the business' website for specific therapy schedules and hours of operation.
