Thousands of gays set to flock to Phuket!

Here are some news for all Gays and Katoey-lovers and everybody else on this Forum that likes Parades and shows!
There is going to be a Gay Festival at Patong Beach on 7-10 of april!
They say that more than 10000 gays from Germany,Italy,Belgium,UK,Sweden,Korea and Japan will join the festival!
On April 8-9 There will be a Gay Fashion Show, a consert and beach volley ball
and on the last day on the 10th of April a 1 km long gay carnival parade will circle Patong Beach! They expect 100 milj baht to circulate at Patong during this festival! So come on down guys and dolls it's time to party!!! :happyi: :cheergal: :love:

I think they just want to close Soi Bangla for the traffic!

in 2004, all the bars were open, in bangla, it is just to ease the traffic so events, can take place in bangla.
imho i always believed bangla should be closed at night, for several reasons, that most are familar with.

it is quite a show, especially with that many drama queens running it, the organisation or lack of during the parade is worth watching on its own.

All businesses on Bangla will be open as normal, just Bangla Road is closed to traffic. And as Luke said in another post, we have also heard that this is the start of Bangla closing every Friday and Saturday night, but we are still looking for official notification of this.
