okay everyone...sorry to make this a new post but i was hoping to get you to read it..the young man i spoke about it in the tingling post..he said when he raised his arm instantly his arm goes numb and he loses feeling in his fingers ...anyone?

It could easily be a nerve impingement - but because he has tingling in various locations, I don't think so. He seriously needs to see a doctor. Today. Always rule out the worst case scenario. If it isn't that, you have time to figure it out. If it is that, it might save a life.

I don't think there's anything at all wrong with asking for a doctor's release. He does show possible signs of nerve impingement... but diagnosis is not in our scope of practice. Nothing wrong with referring him out for a diagnosis!

Jacqueline--I would definitely request a MD clearance before working on him--just an extra measure to CYR!It never hurts to be on the safe side! I hope it all works out!

Yup, twice. I work on cyclists and some of them aren't exactly the quit and take it easy types.

It's a risk that I take less often now, even though I still work with very competitive people.
