I think the problem that johnk had was that sex is not allowed inside the bar. He was in a VIP room inside the bar. That is why you need to exit the bar and go next door to the hotel with the chica.

Each bar is different but almost all will allow you to take the chica to an adjoining hotel. Supposedly, some make you pay a "bar fine" but I have never been so adventurous as to seek out the outlying bars. You might want to check out Las Chevalas. It has a much more relaxed atmosphere and there is usually dancing for everyone (not just the chicas who are doing the pole dance thing). It is right next to Hong Kong. The chicas are not as glamorous as Hong Kong or Adelitas but, on balance, they seem much friendlier. Some of the mongers call it "Las Chubbies" but I think that is overblown. There are chubbies, yes, but there are other chicas to suit your fancy.

Sampson raves about Karla's Place but it seems a bit sparse in the chica department. I think he is referring to the ability to just have a good time in a bar with your friends. Other mongers talk up Bar Tropical which usually has a large selection but the meseros are just as pushy there as they are in Hong Kong, in my humble opinion. With all the other smaller bars, I usually just stick my head in, maybe walk around a bit, but then invariably, I leave quickly.

Can anyone else help with the details of any of the other smaller clubs?

I have never been to these clubs before, so how do they work? I am assuming they are not like adelitas, and I don't mean the ladies by that I mean getting the girls upstairs. I went to Tj this weekend. First, I checked the alley, I did not like anything this time. I went to all of the bars. I went to Adelitas and found this new girl from Tijuana 19 years old so cute and so much fun. No rush and so nice. Next, I went to playboy. I went inside and this girl from guadalajara is allover me. She is about 6 out of 10 but she was allover me, I thought that was cute and bought her three drinks then she said she wanted to go to the room. If you are not comfortable being the only American, you should have fun. They are all around the block....Karla's in the alley....La Valentina in the alley....La Botana....Coahuila next to HK....open at 6pm...closed Wednesday's....Delicias on Constitucion at the end of the alley.

La Gloria and Playboy....on Constitucion between the alley and Coahuila....best fun in the evenings at these places. I generally work until 11pm...so I go pretty late.
