I think muddy explains it all in this post....And daddy, there is a search button at the top of the main page, if ever you need to know something, just do a search and 99% of the time you can find your answers, this goes to all new members, you will be surprised what pops up in a search.
The term "tip" can be a little confusing.
1. Some places have clear menus for options which the masseuse will recite for you:
$40 HJ (partially nude? maybe touching?)
$60 nude HJ w/touching
$80 Thai
You pay $50 or $60 to the receptionist up front and then you pay the fee for the option you have chosen to the masseuse at the end. No tip is required here, but if you're really happy (or rich) then you can add a "tip" on top of that. Examples: Eau Claire, Kama, Abandon, Alteza.
2. There are other places where the fee for options is negotiated and different girls offer different services and the price may vary. Leonel seems to operate this way. I guess if you haggle over a price before the service is rendered you probably wouldn't tip on top of that. I don't have a lot of personal experience with this sort of place, but I get the impression reading eforum.xxx that Chinese places operate this way.
3. Then there are places where the price for options is not discussed and the customer leaves whatever he feels is right at the end of the session. Isis and Lotus function this way. That's the theory. In practice the masseuses expect pretty much the same amount for the same services as in #1, but the menu is unspoken. Here the word "tip" is used to refer to that $80 you left for the Thai you got. It's like a restaurant. The tip is up to the customer but everyone knows you're supposed to pay 15-20%. Most people will. Some people undertip or don't tip at all and the waitress will curse you behind your back or maybe to your face and you won't get good service next time. But if you're really happy you can tip more than 15%.
4. At St. Timothee you pay the entry fee of $60 plus whatever tip you feel is right to the masseuse at the end of the massage.
So when people say "tip" they are often referring to whatever they pay on top of the entry fee. But they could also be referring to an amount beyond the options fee. Confused?
