What I tell guys on the tours: Tipping is NOT customary in the MPs (Ticas do not tip). There is no reason to tip , tips are not expected, tips are not going to affect the quality of service, and if a guy gives a chica a big tip, she will just think he is estupido and "showing off" (yes, she will take the money, but this is what she will think).

Giving a 'propina' for a special service such as BBBJCIM or backdoor is ok and the chica will usually ask for a propina in response to a request for special services. If a chica gives you a fantastic, earth shaking session, a small tip (c1000 or maybe c2000 at most) given with the explanation that it is for the outstanding service far above the norm is ok but again is not necessary nor expected.

Some people do not agree with me on this subject and that is fine if they want to throw their money away for nothing and be laughed at by the chicas while destroying the scene here. Some will even argue with me about this, but I KNOW MANY of these chicas personally as friends and I KNOW WHAT THEY THINK AND SAY about the BIG TIPPER!! He is not empressing anyone but himself and is making himself look like a fool in the eyes of the chicas, to say nothing of wasting his money!!

Giving tips will very rapidly move these chicas to the level of the ZB chicas--demanding a tip whether they deserve it or not; as per Veronicas where an ex ZB chica is "teaching" the other chicas to 'ask' for a tip

Welcome to the board, but dude.... you're gonna have to read the board a little bit here. There's probably at least 80 or 100 (or more) different threads about tipping. And in the past 3 months, since you've been a member, you must've seen at least one of them?

TIPPING

I'm sorry used the term " High rollers" Let use change that to Americans. Americans who I dearly love, are the most generous people on earth. I have mongered with hundreds of them in SJ for the last 9 years. I have always told them to keep there tipping down and the best tip you can give them is to come back for another session the next day, and the next day, and so on. This alerts the other girls that they might not doing something right. I have told my friends, as I say, to keep the tipping down so they won't screw it up for other Americans. It inot in the Americans nature to not tip. I kown for a fact that, over a nie year period, that they do not listen. If they are for a shot time that they shoud stay at the REY or venture to the ZONA BLUE, Both these places are beyond help, for low price chicas. The new Fantacy is OK still. This whole post is my opinion and I don't like to be flamed for having an opinion. This mongering is like fishing, I don.t tell thousands where my favorte fishing hole is.
I truly think BB is agreat guy and is givng a great service for CRT. There is no way any of us can talk to these guys abot not being generous, most have never been laid so cheap. Some of my best friends won't listen to me about keeping the tipping down. If the girl wants you back, she will take care of you the first time.

Enogh said, every time I post I get flamed. That is why I post very little. Then, again this my opion, and I know what I,m doing. If anyone wants to get togeter at the Del Rey and chat. Give me a PM. I'm open to a discussion.

Welcome to the board and CRT. About five months ago there was a long running debate about tipping. Some guys are sick of hearing about it but when a new guy comes to town and asks an honest questions, he deserves an honest answer. My observation is that most guys who have been around a lot don't tip or tip very little.

The friend of every CRT member, the one and only Bang Bang 57 has written extensively on this. I think that some of the other experienced members on this site agree with BB. I certainly do. There is so much data on this subject that it may be overwhelming for a newbie.

My thoughts are posted below; I first posted this last December. I hope it is of value to you. Anyway, it will save a lot of searching and reading.

As Americans we are taught that tips exist to ensure better service – the more you tip, the better the service. If you properly grease the palm of the maitre d’ in a fine restaurant in New York, Washington, D.C., Las Vegas, Los Angeles, etc., you will get better service.

Proper tipping is done in a low key, dignified manner so as not to embarrass the maitre d’. Everyone knows what you are doing, but it is tasteful, and dignified. If you embarrass the maitre d’, if you are loud, ostentatious and flashy, your tip was just wasted. You treated the maitre d’ with disrespect and he will ensure that he regains his dignity at your expense and you may or may not even know you got screwed over. Psychologically, the behavior is axiomatic.

In the U.S., we would normally leave a tip after a meal but here in Costa Rica the tip is included in the price of meal. So if you leave a tip you are only double tipping.

Some Americans believe that if they flash a lot of cash and/or tip lavishly they will be given a lot of extra care here in Ticolandia. But it doesn’t work that way. Admittedly, I don’t monger in the places where there seems to be more concern about “slam-bam thank you ma’am” and the quick, heavy cash flow. I monger in the same places that local businessmen frequent.

If you are throwing around cash expecting exceptional service, the workers will gladly take your money but you will not necessarily get extra or better service. They will just think you are another dumb Gringo who has too much money and needs to be separated from it, or you are too drunk to know what you are doing or something else.

Local service workers typically do not relate tips to better service. Rather than getting extra service you will just piss away your money and get the same service. [You might as well throw your money in the toilet.]

I’ve found after 20 years that good service is based more on how you treat the people as opposed to how much cash you flash. I rarely tip and often go back to the same provider. I almost always get a GFE. If I do tip it is around 2000 colones or so and it will be around time Christmas or Semana Santa when the tip is more like a gift to a friend.

For the girls I see regularly, I will pick up some intimate apparel while in the U.S. and give it to them gift wrapped. Purchasing small toys or stuffed animals for the Ch*ldren of the girl you are seeing regularly is also a very good way to show appreciation. Inexpensive costume jewelry presented gift wrapped also works well.

Like everything else, getting good service is about a relationship even if the relationship is extremely short (one hour or so). It is about showing respect and how you treat them, not how much money you throw around. The girls may factually be whores but they do not want to be treated like one. They want to be treated like a queen. It doesn’t work with everyone but it works the majority of the time for me. And I love getting GFE service.

In my experience, 9 times out of 10, it is the Americans who fail to get over the culture hump, and instead bring their "You get what you pay for" mentality.

Life is different in the rest of the world. If you dont perform up to par, your simply let go. Their is no union to fall back on.

Whether you tip or not; and you shouldnt as the locals dont, makes NO difference. Of course people are going to act lazy once they have been exposed to something better.

Case in mind. Something like BBBJ. Do most girls MIND perform BBBJ? No. But when they know they can make 10-20$ extra just by pretending they dont want to, why not! If you had a job and your boss said all you have to do is show up and we'll pay you your normal amount, but if you actually do your job, we'll pay you extra, would you not do your damn job and get the extra?

You guys complain about the girls not doing this anymore, or the girls having shitty attitudes. Or its not like it use to be. Its because guys constantly get this "its my money so Ill do what I want with it". They seem to come in swarms to. A perfect mongering destination is unfolded over the years, then BAM everyone Las Vegas and South Beach hot shot is flying in, and its gone.

Drives me nuts.
