What is the expected tip JUST for the basic rub n tug. NO EXTRA'S involved, just the rub n tug.

I think it would depend a little on the MP. If it is a place where extras are not necessarily expected, I would tip $10 on a 30 minute/$40 massage. If extras are heavily promoted and probably chosen most of the time, a larger tip might be appropriate, since in many cases the lion's share of the door fee goes to the owner in most of these places.

I would tip a minimum of $20 for a basic rub and tug, no extras. If the service is outstanding then consider tipping more.

I usually tip $30.00 - $40.00 for a 1/2 hour basic rub n tug. Should I feel guilty if I choose no extras as these MP attendents can easily make $150 for extras within a half hour.

As a benchmark, some places I've been at over the years didn't offer extras, but charged for the 'tug', usually asking $20 to $30, which gives an idea what some of them expect tip wise. I guess the tip will vary depending on whether it's a place offering a variety of extras or not. At a place that offers a lot of extras, but you're not interested that day, or budget can't handle it, if you're paying the basic fee up front to the attendant, might be worth-while offering the tip up-front (if you know her and have been pleased with previous experiences); otherwise if you decline extras, they won't know a tip will necessarily be coming and you may end up with an uninspired, even unpleasant, yank on your chain.

massageman, so what you are saying is your paying between $40-$70 for a basic

$40 to the establishment...which is required
and $30-$40 to the attendant for a basic..which is not required

your a nice guy but weird....

save a few more weeks allowance and go for a BS....lol
