considering all the bad publicity tj has been getting I just had to share a little exchange I had with some guy on the trolley on my way back to the airport saturday afternoon. I'm sitting there reflecting on this last mongering trip and all of a sudden this guy who looks like he just jumped out of the cover of "white trash" magazine starts talking to me. he tells me "yeah, I was in tijuana last night and two guys jumped me on coahuila and took all my money!!!". I looked at him with a look of disdain and disbelief and replied "really? I was just there the last two nights and I did not have any problems" he looked at me nervously and said "yeah man, one guy jumped me from behind and grabbed my arms while the other emptied my pockets".
well, it turns out this guy is just trying to get people to help him out monetarily or at least give him their trolley pass when they get off the train. So of course, he had to make up a story to justify his victim status and of course- he picks TJ as the alleged site of his misfortune. I did not give him shit, but could see him working on another passenger as I got off at america plaza. This is just an example of how BS is spread and some people choose to believe it. I was there 2 nights, alone, clubbing, mongering, jaywalking and nothing happened to me!!
