I've been a member for a long time now, and I've used this site as reference for many destinations in the states and overseas. After showing a newbie last Friday the TJ ropes, I felt inspired to give back something to the site I've been leeching for all this time.
Brief Trip Report:
Left around 6:30pm. Took 5 south and got off the last USA exit and parked at the available parking lots right before the border. Hiked to the border and through the metal gates. Grabbed a cab to revolucion street that costed $5+small tip. Stopped for food. When we were done eating it was still light out so we walked to Adelitas. Decent selection, not too crowded yet. Grabbed a younger lady that had an innocent look, and proceeded upstairs. $12 for room. Got down to business pretty quickly. CBJ, cowgirl, doggy, missionary. Paid her $60, tipped janitorial staff, went back to the bar. Took a short break. Found another lady that I liked, except this one was $70. Went upstairs. Same drill. Except when we got upstairs she did open mouth kissing. She also mumbled alot of spanish during sex. At first it was a bit of a turn-on. I'd have to imagine that she was trying to talk dirty. But since I didn't understand, after a while I found it distracting. When we were done she gave me a flyer with her on it and told me her work hours and days. I attached the flyer, she's the one on the right. Off I go back downstairs. By this time it was fairly packed. We decided to head next door to Hong Kong Bar. The women seems a bit better looking, and they did more stuff on seforum.xxxe. But in agreeance with CATCH's recent post to this bar, didn't look like any of them were "working". So we called it a night and left.
Tijuana Tips:
I wanted to repeat the many scattered advice I've gathered on other posts throughout the years. Plus throw in some of my own experience.
1. Cab drivers will often ask you if you're looking "senoritas", or "massage" and then offer to take you. Don't! Just go straight to your destination as you've researched (such as Adelitas). My first time in TJ, I didn't know any better, and the cab drove me to some unknown outskirts and the women didn't look good. I was so lost, but luckily found a cab back.
2. Be polite to the locals. You'll get harassed by promoters to go to their strip club as you walk by, or get harassed by kids selling gum. It's annoying but be nice and keep walking. I personally prefer staying under the radar of malicious folk and the cops.
3. Don't look the cops in the eye. Avoid them too. Two cops pulled me and my friend over once and searched my pockets. Luckily I didn't have any money left. But it wasn't fun having the cop feel up my groin.
4. Remove all your excessive jewelry or pocket items before going to TJ. Take off any necklaces, my bro got his yanked off his neck while walking out of a club. Another friend got pick pocketed by the stripper while getting a chair dance in a booth. Just bring the cash you need and your IDs/passport.
5. Bring lots of smaller bills. Alot of waiters will purposely forget your change when it's busy. If a lady asks for $70 and you hand her $80, she's NOT going to offer change. When you tip janitorial staff, the longer he takes making you change the more staff will come up and ask "what about me?"
6. Don't go alone anywhere (other than the obvious like when you go upstairs or bathroom). I've heard people getting mugged by an intimidating group while walking alone.
I know this is alot of annoying paranoid stuff to worry about while you're trying to have a good time. But always good to be safe and aware. Wish everyone else happy hunting.
