Sir Brockton O'Toole was known for posting that primer or 'How do' book on mongering, a sorta "BIBLE' about mongering in Tijuana. He wrote the thing many years ago, so I feel it's a little outdated now although he was recently updated it in 2007. You can find it on the "International sex forum" and it should still be required reading for all new mongers to TJ.
However, Chicago Club is no longer the number one club, as he considers the Chicago Club the Cadillac and Adelitas the Honda if your comparing clubs to cars. If anything AB is more popular than CC, and has more girls. O' Toole also recommends staying on the US side of the border if your going to monger over a few days. I think that's bad advice, as TJ has many decent hotels that are cheaper and closer to the action then taking taxi's back and forth. Also O'Toole talks a lot about choke holds and bandidos getting behind you, and warns that you always use taxi's. The safety level has gotten a lot better since Brockton O' Toole wrote his bible.
There has been a few others who wrote their own 'How Do' book, or threads in other sex forums and tried to improve on Brockton O' Toole book. However, they usually fall short of O' Toole's classic bible. Burt over at TJA, and a member of this site, although we haven't seen him in some time has wrote a more comprehensive 'How TO Do' book on mongering in Tijuana, you can find it on TJA, where Burt covers many aspects to mongering including a 'Escort' session where like O' Toole Burt talks about cars, comparing escorts to Mercedes-Benz Cars.
I think newbies should read both although Brockton O' Toole should be the first one you read, and after you monger for awhile read Burt's as it could overwhelm the senses with all the material he covers.
HERE IS AN EXCERPT FROM BROCKTON O' TOOLE'S THREAD:
The remainder of the Zona Norte is GENERALLY safe, but there is a threat from "rateros, " who are guys that sneak up behind you and then use a choke hold until you lose consciousness at which point your pockets are emptied. The rateros usually prey on obviously drunk guys who are walking back to the border alone in the wee hours, or who stray into the seedier parts of the Zona Norte. Years ago the rateros were so blatant that the police located a substation in the Zona Norte and cracked down on them. The number of muggings declined sharply and today they are very rare. Still, you should be street smart. Whenever you get off the well-beaten path between the Adelita Bar, Chicago Club and Hong Kong Club, walk in the street and keep your head on a swivel. This will make it more difficult for rateros to surprise you from a doorway or sneak up from behind. Moreover, as I noted above, do NOT under any circumstances attempt to walk to or from the Zona Norte. I cannot emphasize this strongly enough. Take a taxi. Lastly, be smart and empty your wallet and you pockets of nonessential valuables. I carry only my car keys, currency and a drivers license.
WATCH OUT FOR "TOUR GUIDES" AND TOUTS: If you look like a first-timer, you may be approached by one of a number of polite, presentable English-speaking guys who hang out in the Zona Norte and try to scam visitors. These guys will feed you a story about how they have inside knowledge of where the absolutely hottest girls can be found and they will offer to take you to this mythical place. Don't fall for it. At best, they are pimping for some massage parlor or dive bar that gives them a kickback to bring in customers. At worst, they are setting you up to be robbed or shaken down by the cops. Don't stop walking. Just keep moving and nicely decline their invitation.
