I want to make a point to all memebers on the board. This board is only as good as those who post usable information for other memebers. There as some impressive members who really seem to go all out providing great info for other memebers. hats off to you guys, you know who you are. Then there are also other members who I will label at this point as "Freeloaders". Sitting back and gathering all the info they can, suing it for their own benefit and wait for more. These memebers rarley contribute reviews, some probably never post anything they just lurk in the shadows. Those members lurking in the shadows I can't say anything about cuz I don't know who they are. I do want to address membrs like SHEIK (sorry to make an example of you brother, don't take it personally). He seems to never post any reviews and the thing that pisses me off the most is his gaul to chime in on other members posts with his comments or stupid jokes. I'm sure he views himself as a valuable and respected member to the board.....well reality check, you're not. Respect is earned and it can be taken away, remember that. To everyone else keep up the good work.

I think part of the reason he post few reviews is because... Every time he does... He gets accused of promoting the girl...

Oh and I have seen one or two in the last month or so.... So what in heck are you talking about?

I think the main reason Sheik does not post any more reviews is because he has probably reviewed 95% of the girls out there After so many years in this hobby you seem to stick to your regulars I know I do. I think very few people, if anybody can match the info that Sheik has provided to us over the years.

well it's all perspective as to who's contributing things. for instance I've only reviewd two MPA's, but thats because I've only SEEN two MPA's (Christina ans Sandi, both great). So it's tough to complain about other peoples contribution since you don't know what they're doing.

Completely don't agree with you on Sheik, but you gotta have balls to single out a guy then apologize for doing so!

That being said, I forget who it was, but I did share a PM exchange with one of the major posters around here (you know, over 200 posts or whatever) and he just sucked info out of me without giving me a fucking thing. My guess is that a few of these guys really DO have nothing left to offer, since the last time they tried a new MPA was years ago.

If I can contribute one thing to this (and odds are I can't), it's to plead with the "experienced" hobbyists out there to try a new girl every now and then, and share the review. You guys are best suited to the task, and your reviews of a new girl could actually make or break her career - especially if it were supported by one or two other members.

The star system that we've wrought here isn't doing Kayla any favours - just ask the girls who are out of favour there, or Kayla herself on a day when she doesn't have any of her all-stars working!

My rules for posting are as follows :

I post if - a) bad experience to warn fellow massageplanet.neties, b) experience contrary to other posts, c) experience with an MPA or MP not frequently reviewed.

I do not post if - a) my experience is basically the same as has been posted on the board by others many times, b) the MPA asks me not too.

But at the same time most of them post something here and there...

I know of a couple people on the board who are always trying new people... I also know of a few who could give info on specific things... Sometimes... People get tired of posting and then getting countless emails and PM's asking for more details... When quite frankly they said all they wanted to say in the post.

The other thing you guys may want to consider is this... Sometimes people don't write reviews in detail because it is not their thing... Some of them just give advice when people ask... That is how it works. We have lost some big posters lately... That is not to say they are gone... They just can't post as much. Mind you there is no shortage of reviews lately so what is the problem?

I personally have about 3 more to post... But hey... I just get in trouble when I do. Some of the people here made it quite clear that I should not post reviews... But that is how it goes... If a newbie posts a good review... Then it must be the girl... If it is a bad review... Then it is another girl...

Sometimes the conflict is not worth the post.

I hope that you do not use the Post count to evaluate a person, a post such as " Ya she does have big tits" counts as a post but is as usefull as tits on a bull.

I am new to this board and I may not post often. I post when I have somethign of Value to add the members.

I don't waste my time or yours with stupid one word posts that serve no purpose but to make an individual think ihe is adding value.

Being new I probably have no right to complain, but hey you are only new once!!!!!!and you gotta start some where!!!

Bigguns... I'm not going to take offense to what you said. However I do post between one and four reviews a month and try to encourage as many people as I can to post reviews. At one point, I was posting a review a day and then slowed down. Now I only post reviews on new ladies that I see because I currently see the same ladies over and over and there is no point in posting the same review. If someone asks about a lady I have seen, then I will post some comments or I will verify a newbie post.

You have however brought up a point, but unlike you, I get a lot of good referrals by pm's. You also have to remember that those flame wars and name calling turns off some of the lurkers. As a matter of fact, it was a lurker with zero posts who referred me to a lady I consider to be completely unique and original and I am proud to call her a friend now. Another thing you have to remember is, I'm one of a very few guys that have stuck with the same handle come hell or high water.

And Jenn....yes you are correct...I've been labelled a "pimp" by several people.

I just want to congratulate and express total shock in Sheik reaching 1010 posts with that last post. With posting at a rate of 3.8 posts a day he puts me to shame.

As for the issue of senior members that rarely give reviews, these individuals usually give their insight in other ways. I for one have found my self in a similar situation, tested out the waters, found my favorite MP and my favorite MPA, now I don't go to too many new MPs. My first hand knowledge is quite limited but I have gained a lot of info from PM, and try to help when I can. Admittedly, the rest of the time I'm just background noise.

As well, many members act differently on massageplanet.net. Some members post all their experiences. Then there's the total lurker. There are members that start off posting to gain credibility (20-30 posts) and then prefer to PM their info to others for the rest of their massageplanet.net life.

Maybe for members that have reviewed everything they have to say and have found themselves seeing the same MPAs, they should start a thread, "REVIEW OF MY FAVORITE REGULAR MPAs". Where reviews are on MPAs that they have visited 5 or more times. They can review their favorite STAR MPA, their favorite UNSUNG HERO MPA. Unfortunately a thread like that will attract members who just bash the fuck out of the information posted.

I think you chose the wrong member to single out. I've been watching and participating on this board for a long time and there are very few members that have been as helpful in providing information and insight as Sheik. He earned my respect long ago. I don't think it will hurt his ego to learn that you don't share that opinion.

Anyway, you could have chosen me. I would be a more worthy candidate for your "least valuable member" title. I rarely post reviews or provide useful information. That is because I, like some others, have been around and decided to focus on a very few MPA's for the sessions I do have. They've all been reviewed before many times and work in popular establishments that have been reviewed countless times. Maybe one of these days when I'm feeling adventurous I'll get out and try someone new. Till then I'll just go on as I am providing useless information and comments in useless threads like this one.

Bigguns started a good thread. What makes a good member of this board? Depends, some posters react to other posters only, some give us new girls constantly. Shiek and Old Teacher were big when I started on here about a year back, and from their posts and reviews ( Shiek has done tons Bigguns...) and although I disagreed with Shiek on one MP, I respect the guy's experiences. Heck, if I had a situation at one of these places of being ripped off or something, he would be the only guy on here I would ask for advice concerning something that happens in an MP.
As for reviewers and lurkers, some people lurk and just get info. Hey..it is a free country and no point in getting pissed about that. To many this board is entertainment. Till last week I hadn't been in a MP in close to 6 months but I always looked in on the boards to see what was going on. When I go, I try to do a review, and if someone gets info out of it, great, if they don't read it, hey, don't bitch to me if you had the same experience and felt like no one told ya, good or bad. New people learn through lurking usually and in time give us reviews. Guys like Rusty and Veni and a few others just are comedy relief, and damn, that is fun too.
The only guys that piss me off are the ones who jump on your review or post immediately and dump shit on your head like you are an idiot, but have no real basis for their argument other than their opinion. Face it, if I dont' like a girl, and Shiek does, Iam not going to say he is full of shit. I know we likely like different things so Iam not saying a word. But if some guys jumps all over me like Iam an idiot and he has no basis other than being a flame artist, hey..what does that prove?? not a damn thing!! Guys..do review of new girls you meet, maybe one or two old reliables we should maybe learn about, and just enjoy it. Don't take this shit too serious. After 9/11 we all learned it can all be taken away in a heart beat, so just enjoy life..and the hobby!!!

When someone posts a review it is their opinion of what took place and how they felt about it. Everyone does not always agree and that is what makes the board so good. We take these opinions and then go out and form our own (hopefully) and let everyone know what we think. Right?

It seems that everybody is right. It is a free country and you can lurk, browse, use the info or not, bash some MP and promote other or something else.

This board is very useful for all the members (active and pasive) and I try to contribute to the board as much as I gained from it. I use the board to research the next MPA and after the session I post a review.

Just keep writing guys, whatever that is...

I'm glad this thread has sparked some reflective thinking, that was the main intention. I agree with the comment above "just keep writing" but try and provide usuable info guys not a bunch of hot air. I also wanted to encourage some of the lurkers or freeloaders out there to get involved, it would make the board more interesting.

i agree with most being said in this thread, but reality is a lurker will be a lurker, and no matter how much you talk about it or ask them to contribute it probably won't change much.

Everyone needs to take each post with a grain of salt...if you like it, great, if you don't like it, you don't like it....that's all there is to it....a lot of people should just stop taking their role on massageplanet.net too seriously trying to criticize everyone...I've learned this.
