The Chinese government is using computers installed at intersections to scan people's faces and fine them if they commit the crime of 'jaywalking'. A person who jaywalks at an intersection will be identified by facial recognition, issued a fine by text and the money will be withdrawn from their bank account automatically.

And people wonder why citizens need to own firearms.

Eventally, even in Toronto, you will get home in the evening, check your messages, and their will be an invoice you are required to pay for all the 'wrongs' you have done in the past 24 hours. And wait until hackers get into the system and make up offenses that you had no part in.

If you don't pay, the government will shut off your car, lock the front doors to your home, block you from your own bank accounts etc. And they will claim it is all for the public good.

Cars can stop much better today than they could 30, 40 or 50 years ago.

Lighter cars, better suspensions, better handling, better brakes. Why haven't speed limits changed despite cars being better performers than in years past? A speed limit of 100 km/hr is absurd.

If driving 120 on the highway was dangerous, then most people would be getting into car accidents on the 401 on a regular basis. But, they don't, because 120 in a modern car isn't too fast.

Hillary loses election, blames in on Russian interference through Facebook. Then, Facebook gets investigated and calls for its own platform to be regulated and controlled by the government. And Apple joins the echo chamber and also wants the government to filter all messages too. Same with Youtube, owned by Google - they are filtering and blocking 'hateful' videos.

This was all by Design. This was their plan all along.

Here’s a cool idea for Kathleen Wynne - have your 407 bill reflect your average speed for your trip (easy to do as all cameras are hooked to a central time server), and if that average exceeds the speed limit, your fine is automatically added to your bill.

Or, force all new cars to have their GPS hooked up to provide a continuously variable governor based on the road you’re on. That would deprive them of a revenue stream, even if it did eliminate all speeding. There could be extremely harsh penalties for disabled systems, perhaps forfeiture of all property and vehicles as well as an automatic lifetime driving ban. After all, self driving cars will have such a governor.

I am sure they track the times to get an idea of how fast drivers are going. I would not be surprised if they had lists on what drivers continually speed. I do not know if they ever share this information with authorities. Though, in the event of an accident, I am not too sure of the police request any type of data.

If you have ever drove a vintage car from the late 60's or early 70's you would be amazed at the lack of handling and control they have. I do not know how long the current speed limits have been place, but it must be around 50 years or so. The cars of today can handle those limits with ease. I drive the highways everyday and when not stuck in traffic I rarely drive under 120. I think it is time to increase the limits to 120 and let the public assume they can drive 135 or so before getting close to a ticket.
