Hello everyone!
I am not sure where else to put this, so plopped it right here!
I wonder if anyone knows of any research which has been published into 'touch' in day and residential care settings.
From my experience, especially in nursing settings, touch is something that is almost a by product of nurses carrying out some action 'on' a patient.
As an aromatherapist, I fully recognise and promote the benefits of positive physical touch. However, I suspect that other agencies and professionals may need some more convincing.
Healthy Pages readers, give me your best!
Many thanks
Helen
PS: Gotta tell you, I just read a fantastic little book called Indestructible self belief, by Fiona Harrold. What an inspiration!
