Treating client with polycystic ovaries

Firstly, hello I'm new here!
I have had a new client who has problems with polycystic ovaries. She is not looking to conceive more to try and improve her condition, she has very irregular cycle, is very tired, hormone fluctuation and so on.
Have been trying to find more information on helping this condition with reflexology in my books but not much luck so far... any information/advice would be appreciated

i love it when you get an actual condition presenting. i want to make the difference. )

PCO... well no doubt when you are treating the ovary and indirect ovary reflexes, you will feel something, crunchiness, congestion etc and the fallopian tubes.

basically, do a complete treatment as you would, and give areas a little more attention, if needed.

by having regular treatments, the systems will balance but your client may have worse symptoms before she notices a positive improvement (explain the healing crisis).

this is when its worth knowing balancing and linking techniques, to work on the more subtle energies.

let us know how it goes ) oh and if you put PCOS into google, there will be lots of info on the condition itself.

Pituitary gland also plays a big part in PCOS, so important to work this well.

also important to define whether she has polycystic ovairies or polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) which I have.

and if her cycle is out of balance then regardless of whether she wants to conceive her chances will be raised with regular treatment so best to warn....

i believe there are some discussion already on hp about PCOS do a search but wident the time limit out from the default 30 days...

As Tigerbee says, you really need to establish if she has polycystic ovaries or Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS cos it's a mouthful). If it is indeed the latter, a good way to find out about PCOS is to talk to your client, and anyone else you know who is living with it. I see Tigerbee has already offered. Re your client, I find that most clients are more than happy to tell you about their condition so don't be shy - in a way they are an expert on their condition. Also PCOS can affect people in different ways. I've got a lady who has PCOS and doesn't actually ovulate, therefore no periods. With a nutrition based approach (she is on a trial study thingie) and the help of reflexology she hopes that will change. She has the good fortune to have an open minded GP who believes in the complementary side of things. You can't underestimate the value of support from the GP, therapist etc. I've got another client with PCOS and she has a couple of books on the subject. One of them is called something like the PCOS Diet and seems to be full of useful stuff. Your local library might pleasantly surprise you and have some books on PCOS.
