McRobie
The trial has been delayed until summer for a massage therapist accused of assaulting a woman during a session in Longmont three years ago.
David Evan McRobie, 53, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual assault and two counts of unwanted sexual contact.
McRobie was scheduled for a jury trial the week of Dec. 10, but it has been rescheduled to the week of July 15.
Defense attorneys requested the trial be continued, according to Boulder County District Attorney's Office spokeswoman Shannon Carbone. The judge approved the request despite the prosecution's objection.
According to an arrest affidavit, in May 2015 McRobie offered to give a woman a massage when she said she was sore. The woman told police she said upfront she did not want to have sex and McRobie said that was fine.
The woman told police McRobie sexually assaulted her during the massage session. She reported the assault in 2017 after seeing McRobie make a social media post about sexual assault.
